Extracurricular Activities

All students benefit from the enrichment classes that they attend each week: Art, Computers, Library, Music, Physical Education, and Spanish.

ART
COMPUTERS
LIBRARY
MUSIC
P.E.
SPANISH

As many public schools across the country are cutting these classes due to budgeting issues, their value comes into sharper focus. We are pleased to offer our students a well-rounded education that allows them the opportunity to hone their talents and interests.

Theatre

Each student at Statesville Montessori School has the opportunity to participate in a stage performance. From singing songs at the Children’s House to performing Shakespeare in middle school, students develop self-confidence, teamwork, public speaking, and memory skills. Studies have shown that performing arts in early childhood education leads to a higher level of academic achievement.

Sports

Statesville Montessori offers our students the opportunity to compete in volleyball, cross country and basketball against other private schools in our region. We also offer our kindergarteners the chance to get coached by our middle schoolers and play each other in basketball.

Jr. Beta Club

Our middle schoolers who maintain an average of 93 and above receive an invitation to join our Jr. Beta Club chapter. This is a service and academic organization that motivates students to make good grades and get involved in our community.

Statesville Montessori is a small, private school in North Carolina serving children from preschool through 8th grade.
